;D ;D ;D ;D
'tis very strange tho......

looks fake to me.... at the very start, look how, when he starts zooming in, that the land u see below starts to move (as if he is moving the camera) but the vapor trail does not move... or is this just me? :-? :-? :-?
-
To me it looks every bit like a submarine missile launch ;)

T'was a CBS cameraman, so I doubt he/she would fake it. There are many arguments going as to whether it was jet contrail, or a rocket of some description.
I'm keeping an open mind. :-/ ;)

people will make up any old s***e though these days.... and that makes it a lil bit more convincing... being a camera man he may hav skill in video editing/special effects.... just looks odd how the stream doesn't move but the ground does

It's called parallax - the nearer object (the ground) appears to move but the distant object (the smoke/contrail) appears to remain stationary.

It certainly seems to be baffling a lot of "experts" in the States, including those in the Pentagon who should know about these things!
There are systems in place to track any missile or plane, so what did they record? If they didn't activate, why not? If it had been a missile, not of USA military oriigin, why were no anti-missle missiles sent up?
A load of questions to be answered! ;) ;)

well thats a rather big stream then if the horizon moves that much but the stream doesnt at all...
meh either way, was just my opinion, not really bothered by it either way really lol

I don't think that what you are seeing move is the horizon. It appears to be a ridge or something a lot nearer the camera, possibly just a few hundred metres away :y

Pfft, it's just a really, really big pop-bottle rocket of course! ;D

I'd forgotten about this until I heard on the "wireless" that physicists had come to a conclusion - vapour trail off a plane, apparently - its so long that it disappears over the horizon and looks like its coming up from the ground, add to that the slow dispersion of the older part s of the trail and it all adds to the effect of something being fired up in the air as opposed to travelling parallel with the ground :(
the most boring explanations are usually the most accurate :y
