It is very hard to compare with Elton John, who is a true musical maestro :y :y

I can't believe they're still spouting the same cliches as they were when these shows started all those years ago - 'You made that song your own', 'The only person standing in your way is you', etc etc.

Load of Bullox  :P

I'd rather hack off my own penis than voluntarily change the station on my own TV to that..

Such shows are for the feeble minded. Shame they're such a success in the ratings. The very first stage with the deluded morons can be amusing. The surprise on thier stupid faces is priceless as they get kicked off.
Otherwise i'd rather stick wasps where it hurts! ::)

Nope, all trash TV is banned in this household.

Only 'trash' I do watch is the Apprentice, thats more because:

1) Sugar is one of my all time heros
2) Its amusing to watch how useless the fresh-out-of-uni lot truely are - I feel sorry for sugar having to employ one of those useless idiots...

Mind you, just wandered downstairs for a coffee, she has her Pride and bloody Prejudice DVD on.

As its Jane Austen, I've guessed the story - Miss Bennett hates Mr Darcy, then Miss Bennett fancies Mr Darcy, all live happily ever after.  I thought I was doing her a favour - save her having to watch 5 hours of that tripe - but she told me to bugger off, so I turned the PC on again ;D ;D

Hmmmm, wonder if I could set a shutdown command to the media center  [smiley=evil.gif] - "is it broken, dear?"

I was in the room when it was on TV last week. I came very close to tearing my eyelids off so I could scrunch them up and use them as earplugs. :D ;D ;D
