Post by: Richie London on 16 November 2010, 15:44:27
just got back from my mums, there was a letter there for me from the above named about my pension i contributed into from 1980-1982. asking me if i wanted to go in the xmas prize draw. i am so puzzled as to why they have all of a sudden contacted me just for that after nearly 30yrs.  :-?

Assuming it is a proper registered scheme and you actually have some service accrued (ie you didn't transfer it out to another scheme), they are legally obliged to write to you every year with a benefit statement.

So they're doing a *great* job, eh?   :o

THE most important thing with any pension scheme.....is to keep in touch with them and make sure they ALWAYS have your latest address.
