Its fine here so far, just as well, cause I want to fit a cylinder head to my Mig ( provided it arrives :'() and service 2 Corsa's on Sat. Unfortunately the local Vaux agents were shut, so its Halfords for filters, antifreeze etc :'(

Just wait, my son, just wait.
Lifted from the Met Office warnings for Tuesday/Wednesday (South of England):
Rain is expected to spread northwards during the day, turning to snow widely as it does so. Strong northeasterly winds will also be a feature, perhaps reaching gale force in exposed areas. This will lead to the potential for blizzard conditions in places, with significant disruption a possibility. At present, these conditions seem likely to continue into Wednesday.
;) ;D ;D

Catastrophically severe blizzards - "widespread total white out" coming to much of Britain, Ireland, Europe and North/central USA during 27th-30th - much more intense than standard meteorology expectations.

Looks like mostly sleet for here. Last year I sat in Bovington watching the news of the mania gripping the UK as all the snow fell. That little corner of Dorset was the only place that did not see one snowflake!

Only had a couple of inches, was out at a friends and had totally forgotton it might snow.
1st time have driven an Omega in snow (Auto at that) Used the snow button to get going but turned it off to try it later. Mega ompressed with the mig, never went above 30, half a tank of fuel and all tryes still at 35psi so wasnt expectecting good results.
Even stopped to help a saxo that had spun and ditched himself, TC kept flicking on (Snow button off) but it managed to gain traction up the slight incline so well cheuufed with it.
Didnt push more than 30mph as the snow was coming down hard.
Interesting to see how deep it is in the morning.

Only had a couple of inches
The rumour is true !
-
I've just got up to find a fine dusting over everything, and it's just started falling again :-/
-
None here which is good because I'm working tonight, hope it pours down tomorrow and Monday though.
-
just half an inch here, but frozen solid
-
Just defrosted the car - now defrosting my feet :( :(

Yep. From user "carracks".
Haven't tried them for size yet but they look OK as a "chuck them in the boot just in case" measure.

`Been out snow-clearing and testing the driveway this morning......-10C. temps.; so I thought it prudent to use the Disco for the 'will she make it up the hill' test. ;)
The snow is the dry-powder type; so if the winds get up, it`ll really drift. :'(

Yes Kevin, the railway footplate staff rightly always called the journey from Winchester to Alton "going over the Alps", for reasons of gradient, but also for the other one which you get where you live!! :D :D :D ;)

Of course. :y I will try to find the decent version that has been photoshopped. It was on the watercress line web site for a while. Think they've re-vamped it since though.

I am really glad that I'm working down south this year. Had similar to that last winter on that bad one day in Manchester. If it's this bad already :o
I was chatting to my dad earlier. If we are now looking at bad weather from November -> March/April then in the future I may look at something 4wd :-/ For me not getting to work = no pay.

Just back from walking the hound. Not including what gets compacted when you take a step, its over the top of my motorbike boots, so easily a foot to 14 inches, I guess....
