I think it costs me about £50 a month to heat this house - 4 bed detached so no shared walls, no cavity wall insulation and bugger all loft insulation.. the latter two things being things that I really need to sort out. If only I could fit through the tiny little loft hatch :-[ :-[ :-[
I thought mine was quite expensive, but I'll consider myself lucky now!
With Scottish Power for gas & elect incidentally, though on an older tariff that's cheaper than the ones currently available it seems .. but I do like their online account management.

Depends on the level of insulation you have above you,any way you can check?

Suppose it also depends how warm you keep the place, too - but based on how long you had the heating on for (mine is on for three hours in the morning, and 4.30-10.30pm at night!) I can't imagine it being overly warm in there.
I do know pre-pay meters are usually a lot more expensive than regular accounts, though..

loft is insulated between the floor joists only, but its like a freezer up there in the winter, my flat roasts once its warmed up though but gets cold very quick, my other flat i left it on 24hrs a day and it didnt cost much as the heating just cut in now and then, perhaps i should do that here set the temp and leave it on.

I've got my very own gas supply tonight ::)
