posted about the antics of sunday football a few weeks ago.
hassle from anyone is not wanted regardless who they are. :-?
edit. if it had been you chanting, im pretty sure you would have been arrested before the escalating altercation.
-
yep sunday football can be a nightmare last week our referee was beaten up after the game by opposing parents unfortunately we had all left so he was on his own
-
You did nothing wrong
Spouting shit like that is stupid - he now has learnt a lesson

I come across quite a few people from the Indian sub continent via work, and none of them have been horrible or nasty, all have been decent likeable people.
I wish these MF types (think NF and change National to....) would FOAD.
-
i would have done the same millwall.... its complete utter disrespect! makes me so angry its unreal!
and i agree that people like that should FOAD! Im not racist, never have been and never well be, i hate it just as much as violence towards women. But when idiots do that purposely to provoke a reaction they deserve everything they get back end of

we had a few come in the pub last season, telling the manager to turn the tv over so they could watch the other match, who the break do these people think they are. if they never left they would of left through the windows. havent been back since. after whats happened to my kids in the last yr and the polices attitude towards it i am becoming more and more rascist. my youngest starts a new school wed after being out for 2 months due to a group of them threatening him with knives for his phone. police passed it under the table yet again. >:( >:(

Millwall. Explain to the police that you were suffering vile racial abuse, felt very threatened, were outnumbered, panicked and reacted out of character. It seems to work well enough when it is the other way round.
I think people who speak like this should be deported, and I dont care wether or not they were born here.
Well done mate. :y

Agreed Albs! :y :y Speak to the local Police Hate Crime Unit who should view the lead up to your misdemeanor as a hate crime, with hopefully this never going to court as you were sorely provoked. Were there any independant witnesses to the abuse given out to you Millwall and others? If so they may take action against this nasty group.
-
That may be the problem. If there are no independent witnesses, I fear Millwall may be in deep s**t. :(

That is a real pity. However, still speak to the local Hate Crime Unit Millwall, or contact this number: 0300 123 1212
This is the Met's Police hate crime reporting number and they may still be able to help you on the information and descriptions available. ;)

The police / CPS really had to make that decision in the circumstances, and it is great news Millwall that common sense did prevail :y :y
Their Hate Crime unit will hopefully get fully involved now, as I know all those units are very keen to tackle this type of problem. All too often individuals get away with the incident you describe and that gives a false picture in the stats, let alone fails to stop the problem.
-
totally agree with you Millwall.
you have been a pratt ;D
If you can't behave like a civilised person, don't leave the house until you're ready to not violently assault someone, thats my advice ::)
-
Get your teeth into the issue Millwall, insist that charges are brought. Any sign of the race hate crime being swept under the carpet, contact your MP and anyone else you can think of who may be able to help. :y
Very glad for your sake that there were plenty of witnesses, otherwise it could easily have been you being charged with hate crimes, GBH and god knows what else. ;)
-
just hope you get a good result when you play SLady bitshorpe on saturday ;)
-
no i think you are wrong in every way banjax...why should some one take that sort of abuse...same could be said for the scum that takes 52 people on the underground network and blows them to kingdom come
-

Why, whats poor SLady bitshorpe done to upset you then.... Im more that happy with our 3 points we took off them last sat :D ;D
Wall, fair play to u. These vile creatures needed teaching a lesson and by the sounds of it they got what was coming to them. lets hope the Police now throw the book at them for provoking the situation to the level it got too >:( >:( >:(

thats quite a leap there, sparky :-?
how do you go from verbal abuse to mass murder so quickly? I'm not condoning the behaviour of the idiots chanting their hateful messages, but grow up and be a man - you left the playground years ago surely? as did millwall i presume :o
-
The best course of action would have been to film them on a mobile and then report it to the Police. Its easy to say that in the cold light of day though. If I had been in the same situation - listening to them boasting that my wife and children would soon be thier slaves etc. I think tbh I would have paid a quick visit to the boot of my car and then introduced them to my little friend - Billy the bat.
We cant all be expected to behave like Zen Buddhists in the face of extreme provacation. ;)
-
no leap there at all as i said in a previous post we are showing tolerence to a intolerent group and prehaps if there were more like millwill who stand up for his rights we would
'nt have this stupidness of idiots chanting racist rubbish

Agreed Albs! :y :y Speak to the local Police Hate Crime Unit who should view the lead up to your misdemeanor as a hate crime, with hopefully this never going to court as you were sorely provoked. Were there any independant witnesses to the abuse given out to you Millwall and others? If so they may take action against this nasty group.
Sadly, the racism laws are such that they are non-reversable... So, they are able to say what they like, but, you cannot say or do anything that may be considered Racist...

That is a myth. The Police do not, and cannot, see it that way. The Hate Crime Units operate on the basis of equality and taking action against offenders without prejudice. ;)

Exactly Millwall :y :y
Our Hate Crime Unit with Kent Police makes this statement:
"Are you, or is someone you know, being bullied, harassed or verbally abused? Is this because of your sexual orientation, religion, disability or race?
If so, this is a hate incident and should be reported.
Glad to hear the Met Police are following that policy, which I know they do usually with all vigour! :y :y

yes lizzie they are the officers were very nice in that they explained everything and took their time in dealing with the matter and were happy to truthfully answer any questions i had so a big :y to met police
-
Its good to hear that kent and the Met are taking these situations seriously now and I hope that every force applies the same rules while dealing with the same situation.
