Title: Coalition cracks ?
Post by: albitz on 30 November 2010, 13:38:07
Vince Cable drafted the legislation on student fees. He has said today that when it is voted on in the commons he may well join his Limpdem colleagues and abstain. Its like Osborne abstaining in the vote for the budget.
Its quite bizarre, but imo it shows Cable for the unprincipled moron that he is. He has been portrayed as something of an economic genius, but I have always thought that he talks b*ll*x on a wide range of subjects.
If he doesnt agree with the legislation why did he draft it ?
If he does agree with it, why doesnt he grow a backbone and ignore pressure from his party ?
Typical Limpdem imo - opportunistic, unprincipled and not fit to run a corner shop.

Yes, he was touted in many quarters as being issue form the loins of the Deity - as far as I'm concerned I was never particularly impressed by the man whom I regard/ed as being opportunistic, calculating and a dyed in the wool Liberal.
