Title: Is the M1 that bad ?
Post by: albitz on 01 December 2010, 14:40:08
My Merc was on the bay of fleas last week and the auction was won by someone from Leicester. Had a bit of a problem communicating with them, but eventually they made contact to say they would collect and pay for the car, this Thurs. or Friday.
The auction terms stated collection within 5 days, so it should have been by Thurs. but I wasnt going to nitpick.
They have called me today to say that they want to delay until next week as driving down the M1 from Leicester just wouldnt be an option in the current weather conditions.
I told them that it was up to them, but if someone else comes along and wants to buy the car in the meantime then I would sell it.
I suspect it some kind of delaying tactic for whatever reason, as I cant believe its not possible to drive down the M1. :-/

They offered a £50 deposit via paypal but I turned it down. I have someone else interested in the car now, so I want to keep my options open. ;)

I bet 4x4 sales have soared this week, and sellers will be upiing thier prices to take advantage.
