Good old fashioned dodgems!
No.. really.. good old fashioned sparks-from-the-ceiling dodgems.
So much fun!

I would have said (after attending to the necessary weekend chores) having a brisk walk along the 'B' road at the front of my house taking pleasure in seeing the frost rimed hedgerows disappear into a distance shrouded in fog and all the while relishing the silence that cold weather seems to bring.
At walk’s end, the anticipation of a good lunch always keens the experience.

Mmmmmm - cosy. 8-) :-* :-*
Or - for me at least - on a cold wet winter’s day watching a classic B&W film like Key Largo and luxuriating in the warmth of the fire while looking out through a rain streaked window on the miserable scene outside.
Also works with a favourite radio station.

Methinks they'd understeer a little. :(
Went to a Christmas ball once. It was in a huge marquee with a corridor off the side to a dodgem zone, all free. Was great fun after a few bevvies. The ladies were having issues ramming their ball gowns under the dashboard though. ::)

That would be one occasion when one could quite legitimately ram a lady from behind. :y :y

best thing about the cold weather is coming home to a nice warm flat. nice cup of oxo and some bread to dip in it.

driving the transit (complete with 1500kgs of books weighing the back end down and snow tyres) up a bl**dy steep hill in bradford, past :
a LWB land rover
2! range rovers
scubidu imprezza
umpteen fwd go karts
all stuck in the snow.
(I dropped lucky and managed to get in RH lane before the car at the front bogged down, leaving no-one else anywhere to go)

Great isn't it.... :y in 1978 when we had a bad snowfall one weekend I had a Mk 2 Transit twin wheel pick up with 2 tonne ish of 47KG Propane gas on board for a delivery. The delivery never got made as the A1 was closed, blocked with abandoned cars, but on semi cleared roads nothing stopped that transit :y :y getting around

I won't mention the twenty minutes with the booster pack to get the f**ing thing started every day this week.
still - it's a diesel so it still goes when it's up to the bonnet in water [1]
