Post by: alfie on 07 December 2010, 22:10:34
My boy got laid off today from his HGV driving job,no warning at all, just go home and we'll call you when things pick up. Just what you want for xmas.

Bad time of year of course. All the agencies are struggling to get drivers at the mo. Coming up to Crimbo, lots of Eastern European drivers will be going home until the new year, so plenty of temporary jobs at least.

Can't agree with you there, the miners who were striking for their jobs deserve a medal, they were stabbed inthe back by those miners whose pits were safe, and beaten into the ground by the  government, who planned it.
