Title: Profanity & vituperation, but...
Post by: Nickbat on 12 December 2010, 22:29:00
Sometimes, indeed very occasionally, profanity and vituperation make a written piece both amusing and very pointed.

Such is the case with the latest offering from "Counting Cats" on the Cancun conference (the what?, I hear you ask.). Read it, it's good, even though it resembles the hilarious Roger Mellie's Profanisaurus (Viz readers will know what I mean!).  ;)

Taken from the above: "I suppose there is a fearful symmetry to it that Western Civilization starts with Homer and will end with Homer. And I don’t mean Simpson."

A class writer.  :y

Yes CC is always a worthwhile read. :y

With phrases such as;

Has Stern been gargling Monbiot’s loose stool-water again?

how could it not be?

Splendid stuff.

With entrepreneurial titans such as 'Lord' Sugar running loose and lauded by those in government, I don't see why not BJ. :y :y

How Cameron made Chris "Buff" Huhne Energy Secretary is beyond me. Maybe it just takes one to know one.  :(

Mind you, when it comes to saving his own money, the mad LimpDem has a trick or two up his sleeve.

Presumably he chose his mistress based mainly on her "carbon footprint" - or he needs to take a trip to specsavers. :o

Think he has swapped a beat up old skoda for a beat up old tata, I thought the whole point of having a mistress was to "trade up" for a newer sexier model.

Yes, you'd have thought a man with allegedly so much to lose would have got his "money's worth". :D

Unless, of course, he's deranged. There's always that possibility. ::)
