Have just purchased this for collection after Christmas. Paid £1500 for it. What do people think?

Has the cambelt been done, or is it well overdue?

Just waiting to find out. I have budgeted for it either way. I have 157000 miles on my current omega, the cambelt is overdue and the abs ecu needs doing. I would rather change the cambelt on a 45000 mile car ;)

Should be on it's third belt by the age of it now.

Nice clean car, but top whack for that spec, hope its true to its description, well done :y

Why's that? Same job whether 45k or 157k :D :D

Worth every penny to me. This will be my 3rd cdx. 1st one was £450 for a '95 with 74000. The current one was £2250 nearly 3 years ago and had 117000 I have got 40000 miles out of it. So I think this new one is a fair price. I need to transfer the LPG kit on to it too.

Because on my 157000 mile car everything is starting to give up the ghost and I don't feel like putting a new timing belt kit on it just to have to spend more money sorting everything else that is going wrong.

I like it! 8-) 8-) A very nice example with low mileage :y :y

Worked on one with 319.000 miles on it so plenty of life left Andy x :y the secret is keep them serviced well as you know x x x

looks very nice and good mileage on it too. As vauxfan says, its probably at high end of price for that spec and pity it hasnt the leather option but can see why youd go for it. Mines piling on the miles a bit now (as well as the local sea air not being too helpful to bits of the bodywork :()so guess Id be looking for similar in the not too distant future and that sort of mileage has got to be a big plus. Hope its as good as it looks :y

Liking these positive comments ;D I got a 98 cdx with no history for £500 2 years ago. I had it sat outside for a week with a for sale sign and I got £1500 for it.
So the plan is to do the same with mine and hopefully get around £1000 for it, which will make the new one a proper bargain.
Method in madness ;)

Looks very nice indeed V6. 8-) :y

I was going to mention the cambelt but beaten to it.
Otherwise with 45k? Well done. :y
-
looks nice. :y
but I'd have been a bit leery of buying one where the seller says "find a better one" (instead). ;D
