Post by: Richie London on 18 December 2010, 15:56:43
man and woman aged about 30 in front of me at morrisons hot counter. they bought some chicken thighs, some chicken tikka on sticks and potato wedges. then started shopping with a basket. i watched them slowly walk round while eating the hot food, then drop there basket by the frozen stuff, then walk out and go across the rd into the pub.   ;D ;D ;D

You're obviously not like me then Richie, I object to paying higher prices for thieves like these, and would have turned them in straight away. >:( >:( >:(

You would only be able to prove it with an autopsy.

I try to maintain some semblance of balance but I hate thieving and in this case I would almost be tempted to cut the oppsers hands off. >:( >:(

It does my oppsing crust in but seems to be accepted behaviour for some nowadays.

downright disgraceful, i mean, i've never eaten half the grapes from the packet i placed in the trolley first as I walk around. I never knew cost was based on weight  ::)

I don't think money changes hands until they reach the checkout where they should have paid for these items along with the other items in their basket. (Had they taken the basket to the checkout)

Thats the way it works up here, altho they will allow you to eat the hot food before you get to the checkout as long as you give them the packaging with barcode intact

That would annoy me enough without them nicking it. Wait 'till you get home FFS! It's a supermarket, not a restaurant / burger van. >:(

little un ,like many with aspergers, really doesnt like supermarkets and one of the ways that helps calm him down is to disract him by letting him choose something to eat on the way round but we always keep the packaging so we can pay at the checkout and the staff know us  anyway. Someone would have to pass the checkouts before you could accuse them of theft by consumption as this would demonstrate their non intention to purchase. Mind you, we caught this old t*at the other day about to load nearly £200 of groceries into his BMW that he'd done as a trolley push and he produced his wallet and claimed hed had every intention of paying. Hmm, never noticed those invisible checkouts we have in the carpark before....
