Title: So much for the horrendous traffic
Post by: Mysteryman on 23 December 2010, 18:38:16
Went to Liverpool today to see mum before Christmas. Left Wakefield at 10:30 and was at mums for 12:00. Left mum's at 15:30 (so as to avoid the threat of armageddon) and was back home, via Macdonalds, by 17:10. 170 mile round trip, not a hold-up either way. Scaremongering barstewards.

I park in Agbrigg Road every day now Pat, to pick up my lad from St Thomas a Becket. I wouldn't be so critical of Liverpool if I lived there mate, some very shady looking characters. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Merry Christmas. ;)

Roads have been quiet this week. Basingstoke run was quicker than usual around the Watford/ Hemel area roadworks of the M25. Methinks they are covering there backs regarding traffic reports.
I could never manage a Maccies after a visit to the parentage. Not only does she overfeed me but sends me home with a packed lunch for the journey...i'm 47!!!!! ::)

The roads were very quiet today..... Just wish me luck as I'm heading back home midday tomorrow which involves the m25.

As store takings are apparently down 40% lets see if some half decent offers are on in Jan  :y

The M25 last Friday was horrific. Took 3 hours to get from the M4 to the M11, and anti clockwise wasnt moving at all.
Maybe a lot of people got out early. :-/

News channels were reporting today that it was going to be the busiest shopping day ever - but what do they know.  ::)

M3 was flowing at a decent speed when I left work about 6.30pm tonight, much better than a regular day in fact.. Sainsbury wasn't even busy when I got there, which was nice.

in birmingham, word is out that after christmas eve, no more food is ever being made.
(even mc crapps is open xmas day, still its best to stock up and deprive others and throw it away a few days later) ::)
