Title: Taxi Charges

Any body know what the going rate is these days, and am I right it will be double time tomorrow (Christmas day)

double time from lunchtime today here. wanted 25 to get to me mums, so i got the bus and it was 2.40. had to walk in the rds though as pavement was like ice skating rink.

should only be time and a half .. unless drivers is getting greedy..... i was a taxi driver for 12 yrs  :y

triple time around here mate and it £ 2.40 as soon as you get into cab!!! :y

Private Hire firms can set the rate as they like......only hackney's (black cabs) are set by the local council....

In Swindon most firms were on 1.5x fare since midday today......double bubble after midnight....staying at double until boxing day....then back to 1.5x ..... then Monday its normal fare + £1.

Tho i had difficulty working out what 1.5x was today....me sums aint that gud.....so round it up to the nearest squid and add 50 %  ::) ::) ;D

Tho tbh if you dont want to be robbed.....ask the booking office for a quote  ;)
