This year was he first time that ive cooked christmas dinner and I must say it was a pure delight to do it too... the only thing that went pear shaped was my roast spuds ( me being critical of myself as they all said they were fine )
Roll on next yr when I can do it all again as it is soooooo enjoyable and a bloody challenge to get everything ready to serve at the same time. :)

That's Mrs Andy B's forte in our house. There were 12 of us for a roast & all the trimmings yesterday, if it'd been up to me we'd have had beanz on toast. ::) ::)

Did you par boil 'em then bash them around the pan after draining to fluff them up before putting into hot fat? If so then the diners probably hadn't had quite enough to drink!! ;D ;D

Good on you for doing the cooking. My trick on a sunday with roasties is when you take the meat out to rest for 10/15 mins. is to turn the potatoes round in the meat juices & whack 'em back in on full power until everytthing else is on the plate & gravy is done....Crispy but soft in the middle.
If there are any left then dip them cold in salad cream!!!! 8-)

sprinkle of garlic granules when you put them in the oil to start roasting makes the top nice and crispy :y
