upload a small 110x110 pixel picture into photobucket or like..
then
user cp>profile>options
paste the http link "http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x80/.. etc etc" in personalized picture and click the checkbox and save

Been doing that so suppose it wont post straight away or am I speaking rubbish again :-? ;D

Should show right away! You are putting the direct HTTP link in and not the [img] link in aren't you?

You have one too many 'http://'s somehow.. So whatever you pasted in most recently, you need one less of those - at least according to viewing the page source here.
