Basically, as mentioned in another thread I clouted a pothole which was unavoidable, the beemer has started rattling loudly now, and there is that unmistakeable wobble of knackered alloys now too :( How can I get the council to pay for this because I won't pay for it, and it has actually damaged the car. I have to get pictures of the pothole where do I go after that?

First inform ABC of the incident by recorded (or hand delivered) letter. Explain clearly that you will have all the evidence required and you will be taking legal action, if necessary through the small claims court and using a solicitor. Certainly also take the advice of online experts as provided in the post above, and / or any motoring organisation you either belong to or not, and certainly the AA.
Best of luck Del :y :y :y

i tripped down a pot hole 4 years ago, and smashed my hand in, i took pics of every angle and see a solicitor. they renewed the whole length of pavement after and put lighting up along the path. i wasnt the only one to fall down it either. took 3 lawsuits from other people before they did anything. problem is i still cant straighten my small finger on my right hand and can be very painful when its cold. the council admitted liabilty straight away. good luck del. :y
