Hurrah! they've actually done something about one of them, David Chater, but to listen to the 'special pleading' by friends on his behalf, it is clear that they STILL DON'T GET IT! >:( >:( >:(
-
I agree with you but small fry compared with what I thought your posting was going to be about - Bankers Bl**dy bonuses after what they did to the economy. Tiz the season for them to gorge themselves at the trough.
-
I can't argue with that, but these B*%@#*ds are the ones supposed to be making the laws which safeguard our money, not trousering it themselves!

i'm glad the grasping "see you next tuesday" has 18months to work out what he did wrong - reading about the details is astonishing, claiming "within the rules" was bad enough, but this thief was making stuff up, inventing contracts and leases - total fraudster >:(

Only one sentenced so far.
There should have been lots more mp's to keep him company!

I am glad to see this crook got what he deserved, but I am un easy about the fact that he appears to be a sacrificial lamb.
There were many of them doing what he did (and worse in some cases) who are still sitting in the commons, and that makes me angry. >:(

Me too, as you say, he is a token sacrifice. Begone to the lot of them. >:( >:( >:(

But as BJ says, as bad as what the others have done, it was within the rules - lax as they were - but Chaytor was fraudulent.
-
What gets me most with Chaytor is the fact he tried to play the politcal protection card.
HOW rather ARROGANT? >:(
-
He was far from alone in breaking the rules and commiting fraud Andy. Lots of them did it, but they arent in a cell. ;)

That's just it though, most of them abused a very lax expenses system, which is different from specifically breaking rules by renting a house from your landlord daughter, paying rent to his Mum and making up an 'IT services' bill.

yep, hes taking the rap for everyone else. someone to make an example of, not that it will make a difference to them.

He'll be out by May >:( >:( >:(

Look on the bright side, I'm sure Timbuk and Big Winston will look after him. ;D ;D

I was waiting for one or two lambs to be brought out. They were all dodgy and it seems they were doing it for years! Hmmmm, I wonder if he will come out, write a book and be back in parliament within 2 years?

I doubt he'd get back in Bury North. They took local TV cameras around the town yesterday & there was no sympathy what-so-ever from Joe Public.
