Havent used it in years....probably about 5 years ::)
Tho since i have my new LCD 40" sony tv .... ive noticed the sound isnt as 'bassy' as my old CRT..... i thought i'd 'press gang' this old amp into use...
Decisions....on how to connect it up....i decided to use the optical output from the tv (tho optical tv input on the amp doesnt seem to work......so using the MD/DAT optical input instead) and using the coax digital output from the DVD/HD recorder to the coax digital input.
Probably not the best way to connect it.....but i used the cables i had lying around.....
I think i remember paying £400 for this amp (and another £400 for the 5 sony speakers and a mains powered sony sub woofer) all those years ago....
A huge improvement on sound......when i finally managed to remember what most the buttons did on the remote ;D (Tho i need to get the remote to learn the tv commands, as it keeps switching the tv over to analogue when i press the tv buttons on the remote)
Must remember not to annoy the neighbours......as its seriously loud when cranked up..... ::) :D

I have this amp, it is a few generations old but it produces an excellent sound. It might not support some of the codecs that are coming from the TV which is why it wasn't working. I prefer the sound of it to the Denon amp I now have in the lounge.
