Title: i never heard a sound

must of been a couple of fire engines and police, but i didnt know until i went out this morning. house is about 50ft away, woman and 2 kids live there, electrical cupboard outside looks like the start of it   :o

Bypassing electricity meter?.......Hard-up or even Cannabis farming perhaps. :-/

Bypassing electricity meter?.......Hard-up or even Cannabis farming perhaps. :-/


i wouldnt of thought so, she's around 40ish, very quiet asian woman with 2 young kiddies. you never know though what goes on behind closed doors. i shall find out when i see me friend across the rd  ;)

Completely unrelated, but those houses look exactly the same as the estate I used to live on in Slough - I guess they built a lot of those in the 80s!

Blimey! I assume, as there's no visible police tape, that everyone got out ok?

my x house is identical, nothing of them and badlly built in my opinion, all wood and plasterboard wont take much to burn them to the ground

There been a rash of electrical-fires, hereabouts.....

...it transpires that many have been the result of people bypassing their electricity meters; for one reason or another.:-?

Edit:
Photo-Hydroponics (for growing skunk cannabis) uses massive amount of power (for heating/grow-lights and fume processing).

I must say around Kent the cannibis 'factories' are often in rented unoccupied houses on all floors including the loft! :o :o

just spoke to a friend, it was a scented candle that started the fire. see the back of the house and it is a total demolition job. fire station is local so either they were busy or it went up like a bail of straw.
