Title: more snow?
Post by: jerry on 27 January 2011, 10:40:28
having a few very light flurries at the moment, anyone else got any? Cant see it turning into anything and nothing on the forecast, though doubtless Feb will bring its normal snowfalls later on (have to continue justifying the outlay on the winter tyres  ;D)

Yeah, I chuckled this morning as I was jump-starting the MR2 (which hasn't moved since October) and it started trying to snow..

its freezing cold here, although the met says 3 , miggy says 0 celcius (which I believe more) but no snow, and all mountains are white.. and both cars waiting with winter tires >:(

ps : humidity around %80-85 which makes it felt like  -3, -4

Looking at the charts, I'd say winter is about to hit you quite hard down there, Cem.  ;)

It's interesting! ;) But I got through last winter (Dec 09/Feb 10) with just it to drive - on summer tyres, no less (just for cem ;)) .. though there were some interesting sideways-up-hills moments!

I had no choice but to drive it when the snow started in December - Dec 18th it dropped 6" on us and that was the day I had to move house (thus ferrying between estate agents to pick up keys, drop off keys, etc etc)  ;D

Is there not a legal requirement for heating in a place of work?
Small camping gaz stove will cost you a fortune to run long term.... :(
