This one makes me think about my Mum, who was a devout Christian.Lost her very suddenly in August 2000.I had always loved the song, but it then took on a deeper meaning for me.
I think the guitar solo near the end is beautiful.

I'm always reminded of a past girlfriend when I hear Waits.

She was divine, was possessed of a good soul and had the balance and wisdom normally found in much older, more worldly-wise people.

She adored Waits and was always moved by his lyrics and unforgettable delivery – as am I. 8-) 8-) :-* :-*
