Am I the only one sick & tired of hearing the Beeb flog this to death? I could care less about some minor celebs & pols having their, undoubtedly uninteresting, voicemails listened to. Has no-one told the Beeb about GCHQ? IMHO the hype is a poorly disguised attempt to get at DC via Coulson, and will probably only result in a vast amount of our money being spent on a fruitless Police investigation.
Grrrrrrrrrrr. >:( >:( >:(
Rant over.

But view stands anyway...
...therefore I think its good for it to be investigated, and the scotes to be strung up by their balls. In public.

It is such a pandoras box that I suspect many (DC included) hope it will just go away. If it is so systemic that all the papers etc are doing it then it would take decades to bring everyone to justice.
I had to laugh when one journo likened "it to its illegal to open a letter and read it but it isn't illegal to read an opened letter so what is the fuss". He is having a larf ;D
Likely outcome? NO ONE brought to justice. The criminals given an amnesty and the media agrees a new code of conduct that forbids this activity (well until they get caught out agian)
Lastly. Am I the only person sick to death of seeing Alastair Campbell on TV giving his opinions on this and other subjects?

Don't think there was anything wrong with the original version :-/

A total waste of taxpayers money IMHO, which is highly unlikely to achieve anything useful. >:(

In general I support any investigation that exposes what has happened within our media which has been over stepping the mark for a considerable period of time.
State ears dropping is one thing, but not the press!! >:( >:( >:(

You would have a point Lizzie, were it not for the fact that the self-same members of the celeb 'hackees' we are referring to, are the ones who spend their time posting detailed minutiae of their lives on Facebook, Twitter and other such websites. What is that all about? :-? :-? :-?

Me too, they can hack my phone if they want to, in fact I think my works phone is hacked anyway...you know, we may record this for training etc, mind if it was in my job I think it would be ilegal anyway..... not sure, don't care..... :D :D :D

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks there may be other more pressing issues for our lords and masters to deal with. :y :y :y

It's a little odd that the media are waxing so lyrically over phone hacking at the News of The World when they know full well other papers were far more active in this little bit of naughtiness.
