My firm have taken over a new construction sites security after the last firms 3 guards where all sound asleep when the local tatters removed 5 houses boilser and central heating systems... :o.... i came on duty at 7am and was told of incident during the night of a bloke wearing a hi-viz vest trying to get our guard to go home by telling him he was here to replace him ;) well the said replacement guard legged it when asked for i.d. and the code word we use ;) well he did`nt know it did he!!...anyways alf hour after my shift started i saw 2 lads dressed all in black tryin the fencing by the newly finished houses... i mean being dressed in black...its dark and your acting suspicous by the fencing..... i rang control told em of what was going on and turned my headlights on right at em on high beam as i was facing that way and i like to sit in the car till daylight(i scare easily :'( :'( ;D) i lit em up like a x-mas tree...... i`ve never seen 2 blokes run so fast...anyways i`ve found a small wallet....with wait for it..... A BLOODY S.I.A. BADGE in it!!!! it looks like the former security firm are trying to get us the sack or make us look bad my supervisor did`nt stop laughing when i told him what i had found.....
i wonder when the bloke will realise he`s lost it and come back for it... ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Never a dull moment eh Bertie?
When I was renovating some properties in Bootle many moons ago, I had to pay the local scallies to look after (not burgle) the houses that had been finished. Before I took the job on, I told the owners there would be a 5% premium for security. I didn't tell them it was for the local thieves though. ;D

In light of the recent thefts at the site Bertie - and if the wallet did indeed belong to one of the people you observed - I would look at this in a slightly different way. ;D ;D :y

what you should do is ring the previous firm and ask them if he's working as he's not displaying his SIA cos its in your hand. you should then inform the SIA as to how you became the holder of his badge. his sort should not be entitled to a position of trust >:(
