 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

some stigisms....

Some say he never blinks, and that he roams around the woods at night foraging for wolves...

• Some say he’s wanted by the CIA, and that he sleeps upside down like a bat...

• Some say he appears on high value stamps in Sweden, and that he can catch fish with his tongue...

• Some say he is illegal in 17 US states, and he blinks horizontally...

• Some say that his breath smells of magnesium, and that he’s scared of bells...

• Some say he naturally faces magnetic north, and that all his legs are hydraulic...

• Some say that he lives in a tree, and that his sweat can be used to clean precious metals...

• Some say that his heart ticks like a watch, and that he’s confused by stairs...

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have had my suspicions for a number of years now that in the many clips J.C is supposed to be driving he isn't. You can never actually see who it is when the driver( through clever fiming angles) is power sliding or giving it the "bifters" I really do have my doubts

I'm pretty confident that the Stig had TC on when he took it round. JC turned it off ...makes for better TV.  :y

250GTO is Nick Mason's, I'm pretty sure. Here is the man himself behind the wheel, if I'm not mistaken, on the front page:

.. unless someone's cloned his number plate. ;)

well spotted - he's given TG a shot of his F40 before when ferrari wouldnt - so long as they plugged his book, this time he was probably happy for them to drive it.....the insurance company and the beeb werent so keen however  :y

Maybe so. Mind you, in said book he did mention that this is the only car he would not countenance selling under any circumstances... Sounds like he's quite attached to it... In such circumstances I doubt I'd be handing the keys over to a motoring hack whose only party trick is shredding rear tyres. ;)

Was indeed one of the best (and funniest) TG's for a while, and it's always good to see the Aussie's taken down a peg or two!! ::) ;D
There was no mistaking the V8 rumble coming from the Transit after they had finished the race and Hammond returned to park up.

Umm xj220 had a v6 twin turbo engine closely related to metro 6r4 lump ;)

Actually, didn't the XJ220 end up with a twin turbocharged 3.5 V6 based on the 6r4's?

I think the concept was to use a V12 but production cars got the V6, which looked a bit silly in the engine bay designed for a V12. ;D

Doh! Yep, just looked it up and it was indeed the 3.5 V6 twin turbo with quad cams. :y Anyway, my drift was that it was definitely not a standard Transit 4 pot! ;)

I think the original design was for a 6.2lt v12 and 4 wheel drive but by the time the bean counters had there say it ended up with said metro engine :P

Yep, the 6.2 V12 was only stuck in the prototype. :y
