Never had anything to do with them.

Any recomendations or brands that perform better than others?

TIA.  :y

yup, ours do everything through the stereo...just connect as you get in, then dial, make, receive calls all through the stereo.

Yes they do - generally phones have the option to pair with specific devices or any device.
Get your blue tooth device to pair with the phone and vice versa and they link.

Then, as said, it becomes a hands free phone.

Head set/ear pieces are not as popular as they were.
They need charging themselves, have to be paired (like the radio), but keep your phone hads free when out of the car.

A lot of Mobile manufacturers make their own and Jabra are quite prolific in the Headset game as, If I recall, they only make blue tooth headset/earpieces.

Plenty around.

....and a headset means you have to wear that stupid elephant tusk that bmw drivers love!

the way forward in my mind (which incidentally ive got lol) is a phone cradle that sticks to the window (put it below your eye line out of window vision but bent down so operation is within easy reach) and put it on speaker when you get a call :)

That's still interaction with a phone, so technically, still committing an offence.

Most Bmw phones (even paired via bluetooth) are voice command and output is via stereo so no need for a headset. Control for voice command is on the steering wheel if you so wish to make or answer a call.
Not that I took that personally you understand.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

I suppose headset is OK if you jump in and out of different cars all day so it depends what Skruntie wants it for. My old CK-7 does the job in the Omega and is a doddle to fit.  :y

It's for my GF, she is a mobile care assistant and is in and out of the car all day, have decided against the blue tooth stereo at the moment as she cant make the spare time to have it fitted and it would have been a surprize for he anyway, so opted for a headset/earpiece and a few other other goodies for now, stereo may get fitted at a latter date.
