Mubarak's left Cairo - holed up in Sharm el-Sheikh apparently..........what is it he doesn't get? You've wrecked your country with our help - at least have the decency to ferk off with a suitcase full of billions, you prawn, go live somewhere friendly or stay and be offed by your friends in the military :o

Mubarak's gone.....finally 8-)

Lets just hope it doesn't turn to carnage ... :(
Reports of his resignation ..

I find the last line ominous ..... :(

the army's in power - hopefully just until an election can be called, mind you Mubarak was only meant to be in power temporarily........... :-/
i trust the Egyptian people to continue to hold those in power accountable until a free election, however :y

I sensed that yesterdays event (talk about dashing peoples hopes !) were designed by him to create instant carnage, if that had happened he would have had the excuse to reimpose his authority "for the good of Egypt".
When it didnt happen and the crowds didnt disperse either, I think the generals probably told him his time was up.
Hopefully the fact that the U.S. are apparently on fairly good terms with the Egyptian military will help keep things on the straight and narrow henceforth.

I should say as apparently the Egyptian army use all US equipment and the US financed it all ;) ;)

Yep, and he who pays the piper can (if they wish) call the tune.
Hopefully everyone will keep their noses out unless it starts heading in the direction of a military state, or gets hijacked by fundamentalist extremists, which I dont think is what the Egyptians will choose given free and fair elections. ;)

The start of WW3 perhaps?. As experts have predicted WW3 wouldn't be started by one of the major players.
Well 2012 only ten months away :-?
