I've no idea if that's a good price or not, but a Mk 1 & a half 3000GT Capri was rare in its day. A mate had a red one written off while it was parked outside his parents house, that must nearly 30 years ago now.
Look at what they're asking for Mk I Escorts

I wonder what happened to the works 4 wheel drive rallycross Capris. They were fast in a straight line but didn't discernably corner ;D ;D

Did any Capri go round corners? ::) Why didn't Ford ever sort out/get shut of the live rear axle? :-? :-? :y

Front nearside wing seems to be in a different colour to the rest of the car, too..... :-/

I thought that as well, maybe the camera flash :-?

Its a bit of a shed really. The front wings are full of filler and look like they've been sprayed with an areosol, the sills and rear valance look to have received a coat of Tetroysyls finest black underseal, and the whole thing looks a bit shabby IMHO.
The guy must be on drugs if he thinks its worth that much. I wonder what he paid for it :question

This car was found in a garage that had been owned from new by a woman...

Thats a point, where they not compulsory then? mind you it could have been removed and the whole car(apart from the front wings) wafted over with a Burgess electric spray gun :)

From the pics, the colour of both wings are strangers to the rest of the car.
Further, the paint is decidedly flat, to my eye, even considering Ford standards from new.
Loks like a reverse vacuum cleaner job or an electric spraygun as suggested elsewhere..... :(
