A link to the Gaurdian with the words "true story" underneath. ;D ;D
And the first name to appear in the link is Michael Moore. ;D ;D ;D
I have heard/read about the film, apparently its about as accurate/objective/factual as Wall St. 1 was. ;) ::)

"GREED IS GOOD." :D ;D ;D

i see the problem Albs, as a Mail reader you're unused to an article putting more than one side to a story - they interviewed 4 prominent banking figures who each gave their own opinion some critical, some praising  :y

anyway looks good by all accounts sweeping the film festival awards  ;)

Now the Gaurdian is objective ?? :o ::) ;D ;D ;D
It stands to reason it will do well at the awards, the film world is inhabited by lefty lovies who have no clue about the real world, although they are happy to command fees per movie that would make even a banker blush.
I heard that idiot Colin Firth waxing lyrical on political matters on the radio last week, it was the sort of garbage that would get laughed out of a lower sixth debating group, but the sad thing is, stupid people will take notice because of his name. ;)

I think there are so many offensive remarks in that post, its not just office based males who will be offended.
So - a women who marries a banker is basically a whore ?? :o :o
Wordsfail me. >:(

Btw - banking is no longer a male preserve, there are quite a lot of women in senior positions in banking these days ::)

I'm cautious about any politico-documentary to be honest, although I would bet this one would be worth a view.

A minor snippet, but worth remembering, is that the house of cards that was Iceland was admired by socialist parties such as the SNP, with Alex Salmond frequently proclaiming Scotland should follow suit.  He dropped that one a bit fast!  The point however is that the burgeoning revenues and credit circle propogated by the finance industry was actively encouraged by those on the centre-left, so for people on that side of the fence to bark so loudly about the banks is pretty laughable.
