a recent thread listed quite a few newspapers, some regional which i had never heard of.
some have the same owners (i paper). some support one political party or try to cater for a cerain social group.
the question is, how come they all generally run the same story?
who is this great provider of news content.

They have streams from Rueters etc into their offices and then they write the story with their own particular slant or spin on it, although when big stories break they will send their own reporters or have correspondents already in the area to cover it.

Sometimes comes in from agencies, Rueters,Associated press, AFP, Getty, Press Association & so on, most newspaper offices have a syndication dept where they flog it to other papers, most court stuff is covered by agencies & as most papers have a web site its often lifted & rewritten
