Title: Might need some help caravan related
Post by: Martin_1962 on 17 February 2011, 11:48:30
OK on a caravan forum I said that changing from a 2.5TD Omega to a Mundano is a downgrade.

Omegas are being compared to Transits.

I am a member there just for technical info.

Anyone want to help?

Entwood is a member as well.

ENTWOOD!

ENTWOOD!

I can't anymore after I told them to shove their site. Full of self righteous tw@s (exceptions of course ;)) It was after a thread re Tyron bands where the users of them were all apparently correct in their magical properties and I was merely contradicting some of their arguments.  ::)  ::)  :y  :y  :y

Just say you want a Sante Fe or a Kia wotsit so you can be in their gang!  ;D

I find the forum a bit painfull and very self righteous.

Mainly joined to ask how to repair our caravan - eventually worked it out myself.

This is why I spend a lot of time here.

There are a lot of folks there that know how to speak, but not how to listen, they also don't read their own posts !!!  Some seem to have very short memories as well....

'Twas once good .. is now .....  :(

Never go there anymore - main objective of most members is to see if they can put you down in anyway.

No... It's over too quickly. A few judiciously placed rags soaked in paraffin and an over-zealous gas heater.. Let them suffer.[smiley=evil.gif]

Yeah yeah. I would'nt swap my £200 van for any of your tents. It came fully fitted with everything & i don't have to pack/unpack it so ner ner ne ner ner!!!
Anyway we've done the caravan/tent thing to death on here, no new arguements to be had or points to be made & we all "camp" it up together in various fields.

However i've never joined a caravan forum or even considered it. If like some of you say this lot are a bunch of patronizing so & so's i could join up just to how many feathers i can ruffle before being given the "spanish archer".

   Im good at that! ::)

Afternoon all,

I find that the particular forum mentioned is okay if you own a new car-especially Kia Sorento's or Hyundai santa Fe's and a newish caravan.

If not, you are not one of the "gang" and they try to put you down.

I find ukcampsite and Practical Caravan forums much more friendly.

Steve

I've just read the thread, first time I've been on there for months, tempted to log on and put in my 2p'th, but couldn't be bothered, most are a load of self rightous tossers.

Probably be months before I go on there again, if ever.

They don't half talk some bo**o*ks in amongst the tedious drivel about how great their Korean tractor-engined cars are.  <terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired!>

Just needs a troll to start a thread about DIY gas cylinder refilling or something to get them really going. [smiley=evil.gif]

I never mention on caravantalk that I tow with a Range Rover (the Omega 3.0 estate was better)-I'll have comment after comment about how unreliable they are compared with their Kia's and hyundais.
They are a bunch of self centered toss-pots.

But life is too short! I've lost count of the number of new or nearly new cars I have rumbled past in the last 85k miles in my old, low budget car during the last couple of years ::)

Being a pikey wagon dragger my self I went to have a look at the post, decided not to join as my car is 15 years old and doesn't suit the in crowd  ;D
I have had a mundaneo tdci estate in the past but prefer my Omega to do the towing with.I certainly didn't buy my car for it's fuel consumption figures,I got it as it was all I could afford after my divorce (another tick in the list of undesireable attributes of the stuck up sh1ts)  ;D
Yes £350 two years ago gives you an idea of how bad things are but it's a case of making the best of what i have got and enjoying life in a different way.
Entwood you are correct and Lee is a tool, but remember it's a forum so my opinion means nothing to them  ;D ;D ;D
