Heard this the other day... Not sure TBH :-/ I work for a massive, international group of companies and would be tempted to keep schtum but I know I couldn't if I'm honest :-[ ::)

If it was a smaller company there is no thought about it whatsoever... A massive overpayment like that would likely Bankrupt the company and put everyone you work with out of a job :(

I'm not sure 2 Mill is enough to do a Ronnie Biggs to South America these days, is it?  ::)

On a smaller scale he would probably have the right to but an overpayment that impressive is obviously a mistake and he couldn't claim not to have noticed ;)

Only if his bank pays interest on the entire balance .. my Lloyds current account, for example, only pays interest on the first £2500 of the balance (while the savings account pays it on the entire balance)..

move it to a savings account until they request for it back :y
