Title: Why I'm still a Jedi
Post by: Banjax on 04 March 2011, 09:18:24
Question 10 in the census - "What is your religion?"

not "Do you have a religion?"

I have no religion other than Jedi, actually the more I think about it, the more I think we should demand rights for recognition and funding.........every other religion seems to get stuff built, of course as a Jedi Knight I can simply use the force, any of us Jedi can - but this intolerable religious oppression cannot continue, our brothers of the Sith would have no trouble with the moral dilema of killing those who oppose them- we're humanities last, best hope against the dark side. Time the rest of you recognised it before we all leave.

Can you do that Darth Vader death grip thing?

If so, where do I sign? That'd come in very handy at the moment. ::) Especially if it works remotely (in another country)? ;D

Any other response may be manipulated into a response in favour of religion and publically funded religious organisations.

Cool. When do I get my publically funded light sabre?  8-)

you must devise and build your own lightsaber to become a true Jedi Knight, having someone give you one will lead you only to the dark side, young padawan  ;)

Ahh, forgot that bit. :-[ Now, where did I put that "Men in Black" Neuralyzer that I build for a fancy dress party. A few more high intensity LEDs ought to do the job. :y

sense of humour is a good thing.  Its a good thing  to sometimes not to take yourself too serioulsy, only sometimes.

Now for the serious bit: Religion is something which is man made.  To truely believe is by having a relationship with the true creator who is the source and above all pricipalities and power which you know not of. :y :y :y

Sorry, but I gave in............I hate the big brother attitude of HM Gov, so, i've been a Jedi since the early 90's [there was a 'hive' of us working at Gatwick Airport at the time 'n a couple of drinks later we all got signed up on the sensus].

Lucky that's all I signed for................ ::)

Do your employers demand you do not wear light sabers in public e.g work as it may offend those of a sensitive disposition :)

ceremonial blades, much like a skean dhu or the Sikh's kirpan are allowed when worn with traditional dress I believe, so as long as you're wearing the tatty brown bathrobe and karate outfit of a jedi - you should be allowed  :y
