How can you only choose 1? This'll do for a start!

Although everything that followed was brilliant, I preferred their fist album. Classic.

Not a big zep fan, but zep2 was definitely their best album imo, and that track is as good as any on there. :y
-
Rock and roll :y
-
Bron-y-aur stomp, and Tangerine (Zep 3)
Stairway to Heaven MUST be the ultimate Zep track for most people, but I really like some of the older stuff.
Do ya Maker(is that right?) and Gallows pole figure in my faves too. :y

Sixstring has got most of mine, and he's right to be looking in Led Zep III. :y
He missed one, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXbLlxJO5Uc

Great track, and certainly worthy.
Great minds, Kevin??

Could be. ;)
Quite like the mixture of mellow and angry in that one. And this one, as it happens..

When the levee breaks is one of my favourites, love it - and Kashmir :y

Black Dog.... :y

Physical Graffiti - possibly the best album ever released by anyone, ever.
Remember twisting my guilty dad's arm (he'd not long left my mum for another woman, and I knew exactly what I was doing :-[) to buy this long-coveted album for me in addition to quite a lot of other long-forgotten stuff for my 15th birthday in 1978, and it's stood the test of time ever since.
Where do you start? Or more importantly, where do you finish?
Kashmir?
Custard Pie?
In My Time of Dying?
Houses of the Holy?
Trampled Under Foot?
Ten Years Gone?
Sick Again?
Boogie with Stu?
Night Flight?
I adore Zep - had the great good fortune of seeing their last UK gig replete with Bonham, at Knebworth in '79. Still remember the drama of 'Kashmir', just as the light was fading. Truly awesome.
No modern band have ever got remotely close to their ability, or still less their aura.

Loving some of your suggestions. I'm also a big fan of the Physical Grafitti album,(used to have it on vinyl). This is a bit of a laugh!

The proper version. ;D ;D ;D :y
I thought the live album and film of the song remains the same were, frankly, awful.
They should have stopped after zep4 imo.
tin hat on. ::) :D

INCOMING!!!!!.......................whoooooooosh!!!!
(C'mon............you serious???)

yep - I have for many years considered them to be one of the most over rated, over hyped bands in history. ::)
They had in Peter Grant a very clever manager. He didnt let them do much press / media work etc. and started a cottage industry of myth and legend which built up around the band and imo, it was this which elevated them to hyperstardom, and imo it wasnt completely deserved tbh.
Personally I thought Deep Purple were a better band at the time, and I preferred Blackmores guitar work to Page,s.
I thought page was past his best by the mid 70,s.
Controversial I know, but just being honest. :y
