Paid £1800 for my 52 plate DTi Elite, (now with 135K on it) about 6 months ago.

So far it's cost me Oil and filter changes every 3K and a front end suspension rebuild - Shocks, Springs, Droplinks, Wishbones, Discs, Pads and full Geo (I could have just done the wishbones but at the mileage it really benefited from doing the whole front end, especially as the rear suspension was renewed just before I bought it).

DTi's seem to range from that price up to £3.5K. Quite happy with mine, it's no 3.2 in the BHP department but on the motorway and when towing it's torque is only 10Nm less than a 3.2 with the added benefit that you get 500 - 600 miles a tank depending on your driving and we notice no difference when towing the snail to Newquay in fuel consumption due to the lower speeds.
