Would much rather have the 750 version of this, with a full fairing ::) ::) ::)

Noooo think of the fun you could have.... :D :D :D

That CB100 or whatever its called is extremely ugly - and pointless imo. I can remember the old 550, so its got a bit of sentimental value, but christ they were sloooow.
If my joints etc. werent so breaked I would like one of these for sunny summer sundays

Just beautiful. 8-)........and still quick and sweet handling enough to leave most of the Rossi wannabes on their yamahondukiwakis in its wake. ;)
-
I prefer the 'sit up and beg' style, do not want to be leaning over the front all the time, always have, even when younger..... :D :D :D
-
your right Vamps, you are old. :P :D ;D
Even by sportsbike standards, those old 916,s are rather uncomfortable. :(

Triumph Rocket III ;)
A bloke at work has just sold one. I had a qick sit on it, for a bike as huge as that, it was very comfy & felt dead stable.
-
And pretty fast.................on a straight road. ;)
-
andy there seprisily easy to homp about dispite weight
as there very well balanced and the weight is low a m8 has a rocket
i woulden thave minded one but the harley is cheaper to run and can rebuild a harley enging myself

Coincidently he replaced it with a Harley ..... no idea which one. It'll spend more time in his garage than on the road, his Rocket did. :-? :-? :-?

lol thats a waste
another reson i went for harley i worked out if i take the bike out two days a week
what ill save on juice on omega a year will not only run harley ill have about 3grand change at current petrol prices on top of running cost of the harley

If I was having a modern bike I think i'd go for a GSX1400
-
I'd also like a little Aprilia RS250 as a play thing ;)

They're a great looking bike, other than that, I know sod all about them other than they're as economical as a V6 Omega. ;D ;D ;D

This was my first bike a Yam MT-03, I passed my test on the exact same model, so played it safe and got one, 660cc single thumper:

I wanted more long-haul abilities though.
I tried all kinds of bikes before I got the GS, out of the Harleys I tried the VRSC:

To be honest, it was the worst bike I ever had the miss-fortune to ride, too much buffeting, even at just 60mph. Vibration through the pegs was massive, numb after 20 mins. It refused, point blank to go around a corner.
Fairly quick in a straight line though!

Yam XJ6, felt like a Monkey bike to me, far too small, impossible to see in the mirrors, really hard to get an idea of whats going on around you. Crap storage, but it had a silky, silky smooth inline 4 engine. :-*
For my though, i love my GS. Its ultra smooth, suits my height (6ft5) very comfy, rides like a bike half the size. Its a confidence inspiring bike, I found my self easily going for gaps I would have not considered on my old Yamaha MT-03.
Massive storage capacity, went camping in Wales last year, hoping to do lots of trips this year!
