with all the World events going on, but in another thread Opti reminded me of a wonderful song heard in 1980, which I still love!
Have a good old sing song with this and forget all about our troubles - imagine going on one of the Bus Nostalgia coaches!!

;D ;D I remember that song well.
I always thought the female singer had an unusual voice and diction and it was the first time I'd witnessed a bassoon used in those circumstances.

Adge Cutler died in '74 Lizzie. Tommy Banner is actually a scot and, until recently, lived not far from me.

The fiddle player, banjo player & guitarist formed the Oyster Band (although banjo player left) which are still going strong (I played with them a few years back in deMonfort Hall, Leicester) & will be at the Sidmouth Folk Festival this year (& so will I)

Remember when I was younger in my scouting days coming back from a day out, and someone started off with the song about a combined harvester and a key ::) .
Feeling old now I remember that one :o
