ordered two items from e bay within a day of each other.
a week passed no show so emailed the seller for the track details.
one was prompt no probs the other a lying towrag and took an ebay case to get the info, i digress.
i have £200 of parcels which have been signed for.. but not by me or anyone else in the household.
i have phoned royal mail and opened a missing parcel case with them.
the question is, where do i get monies/ replacement goods from and how soon?? ebay or royal mail. :-?
-
I would start by notifying ebay that your parcels have not arrived. And if you have paid by paypal start a paypal dispute with them.
Follow there instructions and it should become clear what to do.
If you posted the seller a cheque or any other payment maybe very difficult for you.
Good Luck

do i need the results of the postmortem from the royal mail before the paypal route. (both items paypal)
-
much better chance of a result as you paid by Paypal :y

I don't think so. It should be up to the seller to prove he posted it. Ebay/paypal will open a case and the seller will be able to comment on what you have said, and you will be able to comment on what the seller said. Eventually ebay will decide who is at fault (usually seller, rightly or wrongly) and refund you. It does take a while though.

Try starting here http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/ hope link works.

Start a paypal dispute - you only have a certainwindow to start this

If the post office are providing signed proof of delivery, I think that counts as proof it was posted.. just lost somewhere after that :-/

both items posted and signed for at exactly the same time and signature. postmans or some cretins.
i think the RM have took both items to the wrong address.

That's happened to me before now.. luckily it was something I'd bought from a decent seller (who posted a replacement no questions asked) :(

do you have access on Royal Mail's website to the copies of the signatures?
log into your paypal and ebay and double check the addresses are correct, it's been known that hackers on people's ebay and paypal sometimes change only the delivery address, as it takes a long delay of parcels before a victim becomes aware
if your address is right, and the parcels have been signed for, get in touch with royal mail, as its most likely an internal problem, either a postman delivering elsewhere, or a postman stealing them, or the postman being intercepted by a "helpful" neighbour of yours claiming they can accept parcels on your behalf

Our postie is great with parcels that have to be signed for when we are at work, he signs for them himself and leaves them in the porch.... :y :y
-
our postie can`t even be arsed to tell you he`s left em behind the recycle bin till you go to put the bins out!!!....... need to be a bloody mind reader with this postie >:( >:( >:( >:(

;D Mine does that, too.. twice I've gone out a few days later and thought "Oh! A parcel!" .. good job I live down a quiet little road with no through traffic, eh? (and the bins are out of the rain)
-
officially, they have to be delivered as addressed, signed for at said address if needs be, and NOT left hidden behind bins, or left with neighbours

on the phone to the royal mail again today after once again being promised that a manager will call within 24hours.
sorry cant help, make a claim was basically the reply. appaulling service.
ebay seller has said swivel on it so pay pal claim the only way.
(£200 worth of stuff)
i dont think the manager could be bothered to move in his chair and reach for the mouse.
these " epods " electronic signature devices, are they gps based or even the vans to tell where they are a given time??
are these the ones used by the royal ripoff?

I dont know whether they have the facility to say what location they are at where a signature is accquired, they are GPS based as they have built in sat-nav
That specific one in the link doesnt look like ours though

Carry on with the manager and put a claim in to the royal mail for the £200.
Then the Police
Failing that small claims court against the manager.
The stuff has been stolen by someone. It is neither yours nor the sellers fault, it is RMs fault.
-
The sender has to make any claim against Royal Mail They have paid for the service and the contract lies with them. I know it sounds silly but its the same anywhere. Sound like senders have put wrong adresse on items. If you pm me tracking numbers I will try to see what i can find out
ps for Martin be very careful about remarks to sue individuals.
all the fact need to be looked at carefully.

Lets just say we have a good post woman but we have had other fillins who don't last long.
And it wasn't us who complained.
Never had any mail opened either.
