Could the Forum Become a club, & what would be the pros & cons?
-
My thoughts are leave it as it is. no fees and friendly helpfull members with a sense of humour and all the knowledge you want without cost..
Unless you want a keyboard collected that is.. :o ;D

Been talked about many a time....
Pro? Possible trade club status and recognition within VX circles.
Con? Charging cash money for info and support which LOADS of folks on here thing should be available for free.
Mods are off on hols at the moment, but no doubt someone will pop in and advise.... :y

Ahem, we are not all away, some of us have a sense of duty! ;)
Become a club?
No. Not enough benefits and the whole point of setting up this place was to give all information out for free in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with no "elitism" that is invariably found with differing levels of membership.

I agree. Leave it as it is. With nearly 1100 memebrs, the forum has proved to be successful and I can't see how being a club could improve anything. Also it would involve extra (costly) bureaucracy and, if one is to be a proper club, such tedious things as annual meetings, election of club secretary etc.

Here, Here, leave it as is, I have been a member of many clubs (not for long), this is free, plenty of free advice and good banter between members.
