Indeed yet again one of the real old time stars has gone.
A sad loss indeed. RIP Liz :'( :'( :'(

79 , no age really but I guess she had a full life.
-
Well in her life she broke her back was it 5 times ??.. Brain tumour and skin cancer all takes it toll I guess
-
A good looking woman in her younger days. Time was not kind to her.... :-/
-
She was in the Pantomime at the Birmingham Hippodrome over Christmas, I know she missed a couple of performances through ill health, but she still showed the younger actors and actresses how to perform! :y
-
One of the most gorgeous women of all time up there Marilyn Monroe.
Sad that all the Greats are leaving us :'(
-
One of the 'greats' without doubt.
Who could ever forget the electricity generated when these two were together. :-* :-*
Quality film making. 8-)

Initially I thought the thread was about our Lizzie :o . Almost choked on me biscuit !! Then realised ::)
To be honest I don't think Liz (actress) was very good in her later years and ending up taking such parts as the mother-in-law in the Flintstones didn't help her. Her personal life seemed to attract more publicity than her actual acting.
But you can't knock the fact that in her early years she was very good, along with the greats and certainly shone. I believe that in her very early appearances the film makers were attracted to her classic looks for the part rather than her acting, but then after she proved them that she could be as good as the best.

must say a brilliant actress, shame her personal life took over the tabloids in her years rather than her actual talent, a true Marilyn Monroe who lived a full life, i give her the credit she deserves, a true star is gone may she rest in peace and personally i think 79 is an achievement for what she endured.

Another sad loss . didnt , in my opinion , do too much great work but (who's afraid of virginia wolf/cleopatra aside) thought she was excellent with paul newman/burl ives in cat on a hot tin roof.

Liz had the last laugh on everyone else !
