well time has come to shift some of my bear fat. today and tonight is a last blow out before tomorrow so im gonna treat myself to a few beers!!! :y
im on a variation of the atkins diet. im cutting out carbohydrates (not gonna exceed 30g a day) and not take on any sugar.
soooo this means i can scoff as many eggs and cheese and meat as i want. but no pasta, potatoes, bread, rice etc
so tomorrows lunch:
2 burgers, 2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, a packet of nuts and some babybells ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've had a few friends do this diet and it seems to work, good luck :y

i walk at least an hour a day too, 2 hours if i can.
hopefully if i can shed some stonage ill get back in to running :)

beverages for me are basically water (i drink loads all day anyway) and coke zero ;)

Only one visit to the crapper each month too...... ;D ;D...No fibre in the Atkins diet..

This was out in the 70's, was called the protien diet.
Rules then were to lose 10 pounds in 10 days
Bacon, eggs, mushrooms or tomatoes/beans were all I lived on.
All foods to be cooked with outfat/oils so grilled, poached, boiled etc.
Did it as a competition with the company nurse loser bought the winner a box of chocs, she fot on the scales and was elated to have lost 11 LBS then got peed off as I had lost 13 LBS. ::)
Oh and as for getting carried away, little and often is the best way to go :y

When i did heavy weight lifting up till end of last year i tipped 17 stone. now 16 ish since baby was born and gym now is very occasional. all the best :y

When i did heavy weight lifting up till end of last year i tipped 17 stone. now 16 ish since baby was born and gym now is very occasional. all the best :y
Exercise has a lot to do with it....I was a referee for many years, and was steady on 11 stone. When I packed it in we got a dog and walked miles and miles. :y
When the dog died, all the walking stopped and I ballooned :(

PS....did you sort a builder ?
Eventually :) I ended up spending the money on other things, but give it a couple of months and the work should finally be under way! Got an architect type bloke coming out tomorrow to draw up plans to keep the building regs inspectors happy.

im about 18 and half stone too. the shockin thing is only a year ago i was 12 and half.
i used to do loads of running (mostly 10k races on runnersworld) then i got settled with my mrs and drank and drank and ate and ate.
my waist is 42" where as i was 34" (should have been even smaller if i didnt have such huge legs lol

thought i'd just give you an update. ive lost 10lb in my first week!!!! well chuffed and im not feeling deprived of any foods.
only thing thats grating on my nerves is i am gagging for a sugary drink. mmmm lucozade orange barley!!!

im currently on 42 waist but theyre the ones that are falling off. just got to keep on excercising, eating no carbs and drinking water.

Im between a 36 and 38 waist depending on where i get my clothes from and im pretty comfortable. i did the opposite. Used to be 13st and 32 waist. trainned at the gym for 3 years and got too big really (17st) now 16st and still broad enough up top :y
Needless to say the cost of clothes for me at the time was a pain ;D

A friend of mine has been following the Paleo diet for 2 weeks and has lost 15pounds so far!! No dairy or grains,wheat etc..Just good quality beef,chicken,turkey,fish,eggs etc.Good fats eg olive oil,coconut oil and all fruits and vege except potatoes although sweet potatoes are okay.She had a headache for a few days but after that she was full of energy.
