Title: Asda drop a clanger
Post by: Andy B on 01 April 2011, 17:01:08
If only I'd been in or near Bradford. I reckon I'd have had change from a £tenner if I'd brimmed it.

Dont they have a sign at supermarkets.

Please check your change, as mistakes cannot be rectified afterwards. - Surely that works both ways.

Just been on look north. 'Good luck to them', the woman from asda said.

But I wouldn't like to be the poor unfortunate who dropped a clanger. No wages for five years.  ::)

I pass the store in the truck regularly en route to Kemira Chemicals so know where you mean. Heard it on the radio today.
Surely the till staff did'nt actually allow sales at that price even with trade descriptions. Did folk actually buy any & how did they tell the next one in the queue he has to pay full whack? Not news i'd want to deliver!!!! :'(

call me cynical, but the proper price of £1.29 for a litre is pretty cheap nowadays, and now this is all over every paper and news site and tv..........not a bad little "mistake" to make, publicity wise ;)

Still £129.9 in asda this morning. £134.9 in the local garage 100 yards from asda, yet still a queue there earlier. Baffling.
