Title: Now I AM cheesed off :(
Post by: Entwood on 10 April 2011, 22:31:04
Sitting here with my sisters laptop and an external rdive.. converting 97 folders (2246 files, 2.82 Gb) of stupid sodding Sony .OMA files to .MP3, which can only be done a folder at a time ... this is night 3... up to folder number 57 now ....

OOF was my saviour ..... keeping me sane ... and now ..

OOF is on a go slow ... 30-45 seconds to load each page .. :(

I'm going to go nuts!!!  :(  ( I know .. some would say I already have .. :)  )

Not much help:

This is why I'll never buy anything from Sony these days. They lock you into using their non-standard cr@p to generate lock-in.

Maybe some help:

Can you perhaps find a command-line tool to do the conversion that you can then run recursively?

what are you using to convert?

This looks it should do the job:

Tried that tunnie .. but limited in use unless you buy it ...   I'm using a freebie  "MarC's HiMdRenderer" .. it will do a complete folder under batch mode .. you just have to select each folder contenet, and the new fodler destination every time ... PITA  .. but its getting there .. 71 out of 93 folders done ... might even get it finished tonight .. :)
