What software are you using?
I received Photshop CS5 last week and it's a blast. Puts paid to the "camera never lies" adage. ;) ;D

Nice work!
I use Photoshop CS3, this was my attempt at Tiltshift, taken during the snow :)

That's the whole point Dazzle, it's supposed to look like a model.

Yup its the idea of making a standard shot look like its a model!
This was before I edited it:

After:

Photo Merging is fun too, this was taken from my flat, one at the side from living room window, other front Window. I've got almost 270 degree views of London. :)

In the full size (i've had to scale this down a great deal) you can see London Eye, Battersea Power Station, Westminster & Canary Warf
Side view:

Football fans might notice a certain stadium on the left, although it looks very tiny in the web scaled version.

Tunnie, you give me some idea.. :y
-
Must have a play with that Tilt Shift software. Looks cheaper than shelling out for a tilt shift lens at any rate. :o
-
I must be missing the point you Guys are trying to say sorry.
Tunnie why would you want to do that though? to make a picture look like a model village??
Plomien, forgive me as your original picture is a gorgeous colourful garden but I don't see a great difference in the second? maybe the flowers seem to be leaning slightly.. :-[
If that is so why is that such a special thing to do?
I don't mean this to sound rude at all, just actually interested :y

I think it improves the shot of the flowers immensely. The original shot is OK but the perspective is very flat so it's not an interesting photo IMHO. There's no real subject. After the tilt shift the flowers stand out as the subject, and it has a lot more depth.
There's no obvious reason why the shot couldn't have been taken from this angle originally in this case, although you might have struggled with the depth of field but in other cases, you simply can't get the perspective right and have to shoot from where you can so I can see an advantage in being able to do this sort of stuff.
Not quite so sure about HDR. :-/ It wasn't necessary in this scene anyway, IMHO. Used subtlety it can rescue shots where the camera just doesn't have the dynamic range to capture it but when over-used it tends to take the life out of pictures, IMHO.
Again, though, just my opinion, and it's a very subjective thing. ;)

You baffle me with your big words Kev ;D but I still don't see the real difference :-?
If a couple had been added say walking along the path I would have said that was good even clever but I suppose I have not got the photographer eye :-[

HDR tends to work better with buildings
this shows it well

Stunning, looks like it was taken with a fish eye lens. Another one to add to the wish list along with a 10-20mm wide angle.
I really must do some HDR type work
