Yours & many many others I would think. 'Our' old quarter is obviously now in private hands http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=aldermoor+road+gosport&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Aldermoor+Rd,+Gosport+PO13+9RU,+United+Kingdom&ll=50.809596,-1.164529&spn=0.007051,0.021136&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=50.809615,-1.164375&panoid=wizjGjP2UwfLSi4Wo7Ne6Q&cbp=12,149.77,,1,1.52 It was the one upstairs but now both upstairs & downstairs seem to be one house. And the other is no longer standing ....... best thing to happen to it.  ;)

i'm fascinated by this place built in the 60's by the catholic church to train priests but barely used, massive "brutalist" concrete structure it looks like it was abandoned by some lost advanced civilisation - really spooky place  :o

outside Cardross (opposite Port Glasgow on the Firth of Clyde) if you fancy a picnic  ;D ;D :( :o

There's another one. Subterranea Britannica http://www.subbrit.org.uk/

They are fascinating. Every time I go to one of these sites, my productivity suffers for about 5 hours. ;D

Love these kinds of things, too - wish I had the stones to go do a bit of B&E to see them myself, really!

I love that - I may have mentioned my love of brutalist architecture in the past. Almost a good enough reason to visit Glasgow. Almost. But just a little bit too close to Dumbarton/Helensburgh where the woman who stole my heart used to live.
