I would preface my remarks by saying that I fully understand the shortcomings of our own system of government and am saddened to admit that the moral structure within our own society is in marked decline, but I must say that this speaker does identify many things which are fundamentally wrong in those countries he identifies - countries where Islam is practiced with such assiduous zeal.
Is Islam capable of allowing its followers to celebrate their devotion to it in a way befitting of the 21st century and in tolerant conjunction with those who follow other faiths? I fear that it is not.

all followers of fundamental religions made up in the middle ages are mentally ill i'm afraid, luckily we live in a tolerant society where i'm allowed to state that i think its all bullshit without the threat of being executed, but when that medieval religion starts to have a say in what is and isnt law then i have a problem - believe what you like - some may praise you others (most) just think you're nuts but please, if you try and tell me how to live my life......do one mate eh? ::)

I reckon he should 'get off the fence' & just tell it how it really is! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

An excellent point, Den. Unfortunately, ultra-zealous followers of any religion, nation, football club etc., or indeed ultra-zealous atheists (illustrated by remarks elsewhere on this thread) are, by their nature, extremely intolerant people. >:( ;)

Would it not be true though, that an Atheist has absolutely nothing to prove? ;)

As atheists have nothing, that would indeed be true. ;)

I reckon Atheists are the most tolerant, the bs we have to put with, pandering to fairy tales and pretending its a valid point worth equal weight - we deserve a medal :y
