x < y means x is less than y.

x > y means x is greater than y.

You both helped me prove a point I was taught correcly at school.

Surprising how many people dont agree, and is basically so simple. :-X

The symbol is graphical in that the amount at the larger end is larger, and the amount at the smaller end is smaller.

It's one of those annoying symbols where you can use it correctly( :y) for yonks then when you start thinking hard about it you mess up. ::)
