Title: Welsh trip.

The Opti family are driving over to the Welsh borders today.   We will be going via Grantham.....Kidderminster and Leominster.  The trip usually takes some four hours or so and takes in the M1....M69.....M6 and the M42.
So if you see a 53 plate star silver MV6 give me a cheery wave...(or the finger/fingers if you prefer... ;))
I know that my charming and witty posts will be missed by ALL... ::) here at OOF.....but fear not I will be back in two shakes of a lamb's tail..... :y :y :y :y

P.S.That reminds me. I'm hoping to make some new wool covered friends.... ;)

Thanks TB. My old 2.6 manual regularly returned  32/33 MPG on the same route. I'm not sure that my MV6 auto will prove as economical.......26/27 MPG perhaps?... :-/

Right then. I've filled up with £90 of unleaded ...(134.9 per litre  :-/)....It's a four hundred mile round trip. I'm expecting to return with more than half a tank. ::) ::) ::) ::).

Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic.... ;)

I got 33mpg from my 3.2 when going to Brum on the M11, M25, M1, M5

Back again. The trip computer shows........377 miles at an average speed of 44 mph. Average fuel consumption 29.1 MPG......Hmmm.... :-/

I just about managed the trip on one tank of petrol. :y
