Just wanted to make a big public "Thank You" to Albs. Not only has he looked after me with some required bits, he was also good enough to do an Oil and filter change for me and help change the brake fluid :y :y
As an aside...... So much for full Vx Service History. This is the filter that came out:

Holy cow.. that has to be a 30-40,000 mile old filter, surely.. unless this is a diesel?
-
And there was a lot more of that crud inside the canister. Good old VX. ::)
Always happy to help the afflicted Paul. :y ;D
Had that AR35 out by 6.30pm buy the way. :) I will sleep well tonight. ::)

I think I would be dropping the sump and cleaning the strainer if that was mine :D

Must admit we did discuss it. Hopefully a few short changes will get it out as there doesn't appear to be any oil pressure issues ;)
Mind you, it might have to come off anyway as there may be a slight leak from the sump gasket ::)

Thankfully all the crud seems to be at the cap end of the canister and in the cap.
It just proves why a full Vx service history is really a load of old tosh ::) ::)

No scars this time. My back probably feels a lot worse than your at the minute though. Spazzy leg is grumbling quite a bit as well. ::) :D

Might well do... Although I'm bloody sore tonight :( :(

Should have left some of your drugs here. ::) ;D
I am at least clean now, although the bath looked like something BP could be in charge of in the gulf of Mexico when I got out tonight.
Just been for a few cold shandys - hardly touched the sides on the way down. :) ;D
-
I'm not surprised... You've had a busy day :y
Thanks again for all your help today :y

No problem Paul, anytime. :y Back to work for a rest tomorrow. :D
Tbh, the only reason I carried on and took the box out was that I was so grubby anyway, I thought it was the best time to do it , rather than get as filthy again between now and Thurs. evening. ::)
Quick service on the bike in the morning, and a play with the Bose satnav, and that will do me. :)
Oh, and check Blackie for possibly the same fault codes as Twiglet has. ;)
